With years of experience working with mothers in the hospital setting - Pediatric Intensive and Cardiac Intensive Care Units, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), obstetrics – we’ll work together through a lens of supportive and educational therapy sessions to gently process these unanticipated challenges and develop strategies to support yourself and your family.

Welcome, I am so glad you are here. Samantha Corbin Therapy is a place for young women to invest in themselves. In the many seasons of life, there are unanticipated road blocks and opportunity for reflection and relief. My practice offers a gentle and collaborative approach to navigate your experiences through a fresh lens. We’ll integrate skill building interventions and lifestyle modifications throughout our reflective work together.

My style is warm, relatable, and candid. My approach is drawn from a holistic and strengths based perspective and grounded in acceptance. I believe that genuine connection between the client and therapist develops trust and safety and is the foundation for success in your therapeutic journey.

My areas of practice include, individual therapy for young women and mothers. Specifically, with a focus on relationships, adjustment to change, anxiety, prenatal and postpartum support, and hospital support for mothers.

I earned my master’s degree from Columbia University School of Social Work and have worked at The Mount Sinai Hospital across their pediatric and neonatal divisions. I have also completed advanced training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International.

 

My therapeutic approach empowers my clients to work towards decreasing stress and anxiety and increasing happiness, growth, tolerance, and wellness in their lives.

faq

what to expect 

Connection is important. We'll start with a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation. We will get to know each other, address any questions you have, and make sure our goals align.  If we are the right fit, we will move forward with scheduling.

sessions

Meeting weekly initially allows you to get the most out of our work together. Our sessions are typically 45 minutes. Together we will create a schedule that is the right balance and fits seamlessly into your life.

insurance

I am not an in-network provider. However, I will provide you with monthly statements for our sessions, which might be eligible for reimbursement through your out of network benefits. I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly.

telehealth

Our sessions will be conducted virtually via a secure HIPAA compliant platform and is available to young women across New York State.
